Cold Connecticut

I haven't been out in weeks , work has been busy and I (literally) have been doing lots of mechanical work on my jeep . So it was extremely good to just get out and swing the coil again , just a half day hunt and it was unusually cold in the "constitution state" , we hiked out a good mile or more to return to a site that was pretty good to us a couple of years ago . it was really quiet , My friend Rick scored a few buttons and iron shoe buckle frame , i did get a very large iron shoe buckle chape and the find of the day was this decent looking Connecticut copper .
april 2nd connecticut.jpg get out there and dig something!

Great find Dan. Most excellent my friend.
Tim, Alec and myself are heading out in the morning to try a new early 1800s home site not far from our " Button Field " .
I surly hope "That I get out there and dig something"

I love how a short hunt for you is half a day
Nobody is as dedicated...and it paid off. Did you know it was a copper when you dug? I used to know pretty accurately when one was under my T2 but not with the nox, it's always a surprise.
Congrats!

Drew it was a solid 95 on the deus , a very fine almost horizonal line on the xy screen so it was either a copper or an oxknob

Congrats on he CT copper, Dan! It's amazing what you guys in that part of the country can find on a "short hunt"! :clapping:
