Cold day, but warming silver hunt.

The wind was blowing like crazy today and my sis called to see if I was MDing. I was contemplating it but I knew it was going to be windy and cold. After sitting in the house for a hour and a half I couldn't take it anymore! >{ I decided to hit a house in town since it was close and I only had 1/2 hour to hunt. 1/2 hour ended up being 45 minutes and I was cold and could barely hear the tones because of the wind. The ground I was hunting was severe ont eh Etrac...manual sens. was only 15 and bumping it up to only 19 was almost unbearable. The EMS was severe in the yard and I was grabbing channels left and right trying to get a tolerable audio. I did manage 3 silvers and 4 wheats. The wheats ranged from 1919-1946 and the silvers 1920-1943. Also dug some toys and a piece of jewelry, the big headed roofing nails are plentyfull and give off a great dime signal >:#...probably enough to re-roof the house. Returning when the wind dies down and I have warmer clothes on. Thanks for looking.

Finding silver does tend to give a person that nice warm feeling!

It was very windy here too today. It's really starting to feel like fall.

Nice Mercs and war nickel! That's a great hunt for only 45 minutes!

<: Awesome hunt JR!! :clapping:
Ahhhhh... a three silver day. :smitten: Glad you decided to get out there in the gusts today. That wind was certainly a force
to reckon with today. :stretcher:
Two Mercs and a War nickel would keep me smiling all weekend. thumbsup01

I'm sure the silver in your pocket was keeping you plenty warm! :happydance01: lol
Nice haul for a short hunt!
Congrats !

Excellant :wow:Now I know why I felt a little chilled on my morning hunt today, only clad. Very nice. thumbsup01

Thanks all for the great replies. I think I may hit the fields tomorrow, but will be puting on the thermals! I get the feeling the season is dwindling down and have the urge to get out as much as possible before the real cold sets in.

Very nice hunt! This part of the year is my favorite time to hunt. Those big old roofing nails give my machine fits, ring up almost like a wheatie.
