new permission and it looks promising.keith found the spoons in a cache about 18 inchs down around 5 in there.

none that I can see but it was from a plantation site that dates back to the 1700s.

Nice few finds. Looks like some promise there. If you haven't cleaned that button, try hitting it with diluted CLR. 50/50 with water. Whatever amount gets onto the toothbrush and brush it. No soak.

Are the pewter spoons the "rat-tail" type ? looks like a sweet colonial homesite the shoe buckle fragments are beautifully designed to bad the plow broke them all up . congrats
