Couple spots with Lee today - 4/28

Met up with the British Bulldog today to do some swinging. We poked around at a couple of his haunts. They're a bit picked out, but still cough up goodies here and there. All our luck came at the 1'st stop in maybe 90 minutes.
Lee got on the board first with his new AT Pro. A bent and toasty large cent. He followed that up with a mystery disc. It's wicked toast, and thin.

I wound up with what looks like the toasted dome off a 2-piece button, and didn't need the detector for my best find of the day. Eyeballed my 1'st tombac button peeking out of the dirt. Thanks for buying lunch today Lee, it's on me next time!

your last picture looks like the "domed" top to a sewing thimble Brian , congrats on the tombac sir .

You're likely right Dan. It's so tiny I thought it was a cuff button maybe. The FB crowd pointed it out last night.
No vid Al. It was a fairly boring 90 minutes and I don't want to give away Lee's stomping ground.

will it give away my secret place bri ? im fine with you posting the small vid you made as long as you cant see the sign that says WHITE HOUSE BACK GARDEN,WASHINGTON DC. oppps...gave it away now !!!!!!

Hehe...busted. There will be a bunch of us heading to DC in gyrocopters to hit your secret spot.

drew, the field i took bri to is the sort of place dreams come true , me and two mates have found 67 coppers along with 1600s Spanish silver, capped dimes,SLQs,untold amounts of buttons.musket balls by the truck load,charles1st cuff links. all in a field 600ft by 100ft and they have just turned it for the first time this year, the beauty of this place is it just keeps throwing up more stuff each time they plough .
and you have to bare in mind 90% of the stuff we have found there was found by 2 whites coin masters and a Garrett 250 !!!! just imagine what im gona find with this beast i just bought ?.
many of the coppers, and buttons we have found there have been surface finds or 1inch under the dirt.
