Decent Day - 3 Indian Heads, 3 Mercs, 1 V Nickel, 1 Buffalo + More

Today I ended up back in a town where I have hunted many times before. It was cold and windy but the steady finds helped keep me warm. I started out hunting a couple of sidewalk strips near the old school. At this site I found a 1918 Mercury Dime, a 1904 V Nickel, and an old good luck token that has a 1904 Indian Head Cent in it.

After that I went to the old town square park. I was actually surprised at how many finds this park gave up today. In the town square park I got 2 Indian Head Cents, 2 Mercury Dimes, a Buffalo Nickel and some wheat cents.

Here are today's finds:

Here is the good luck token. I have found these before with wheat cents in them, but this is the first one I've found with an Indian Head in it. Too bad the token is so badly corroded.

That's it!

Thanks for looking and happy hunting! :beerbuddy:

Wow, I never thought that them good luck pieces went back that far. That's a great find Tony. Love the crystal quartz point too. It's amazing that good, quality coins still can turn up from parks. Some days the machines just seem to lock on to them targets.

congrats on the coins Tony :clapping:, ok the one relic looks like an old gear shifter lever from a bike , a pocket watch bezel , the crystal you detector went off on that ?? with only the little loop in it , your good my friend :notworthy: the ing in the middle has me baffled though :dontknow: whats the reverse look like ??

It has me baffled too. It has bent clasps on the back, almost looks like it might have been attached to leather. In fact, I think there might still be a small piece of leather under one of the clasps.

Here is the back:

:wow: Tony, like Digger Don said "your a coin Magnet"! Love the Indian Heads, they are such an awesome coin to find. :congrats: on a great Hunt!

The back makes me think that a strap from a harness went through it. The hole would allow you to dangle an additional item from it.

Nice job Tony!!!
pulling all those out of the park and sidewalk strips incredible..
Just goes to show you can't overlook spots like that!!!
