Discarded As Junk

The other day I was out detecting.


I place all the trash I find in a bag and carry it out of the park that I hunt.


Fast forward to today, my brother asks what kind of trash I dug.


While pulling out can after can and scrap iron pieces, the following captured my brothers interest.


I placed a penny next to it for size.

No idea, but it sure looks interesting

its a sinker for carp fishing,the plastic thing at the end is a snap release if the carp gets hooked up on an under water obstruction
