Display finally done

I just finished putting our best finds in the display case table. I quartered it into 4 main subjects with some miscellaneous objects down the center.

I cut some hard foam insulation that was left over from siding the house to fit the bottom and covered it in black felt. Some staples from a light duty staple gun secured the felt to the back of the foam. This made a good base to place the objects. The rings fit in small slits I cut with an exacto knife.

Keep in mind my wife and I have only been detecting a little over 2 years so some objects may be common to many of you but they are still good finds for us.

That really looks good. The idea of slitting the fabric into the foam to hold the rings is super. As you find better ones you may want to replace current ones. Good job, nice layout, Steve in so az

My cousin recently surprised me with a display case real similar to yours (not a table) that you hang on the wall.
I've been thinking of how to fill it up :dontknow: I like the foam idea too :yes: I might be borrowing that one lol

Great looking display :clapping: The mounting of the rings is a smart idea. That table will spark detecting conversations for anyone visiting for sure. Maybe you should invite all the property owners that have old houses over for tea lol Might get you some nice sites to hunt :dontknow:
