Do you bury a practice coin(Not your home test gardern)?

Do you bury a practice coin when you go to a new location and then optimize your detector? martin

I've never tried that but sometimes I will play around with settings on my first coin target that is 4-5 inches deep. I do this before I dig it . I also will raise my loop up off the ground to see how deep I can still get a good hit on the target. Some times I might make a small adjustment but most of the time the Etrac is set just right for the spot I'm in.
