Dug a couple of coppers

Lodge Scent

The pickings were really slim this weekend, maybe 5 non ferrous targets in 4 hours but 2 were coppers. First was a dateless Matron. Second was this nice looking 1798 Draped Bust. Jeff

Thats is an amazing draped bust!My biggest question though is how were you able to post the pics? I have lots to post from late last year and this year but I can't share the pics.

We have discovered that you can post photos if you upload them to an image hosting site first and then share the link. I use imgbb.com.

Thanks folks. Yeah I am happy with that one.

For posting pics, I used to use a image hosting site but now I just save them as JPEGs and drag them over from my hard drive.

Wow, I like that draped bust! I could only imagine ever finding one around here, A big Congrats!!!

That 98 is a looker Jeff :wow: i hope you post a cleaned up photo

Unfortunately Dan, that pic is the best that coin will ever look. It had one of those patinas that started to go to heck right in my hand once exposed to the atmosphere after its 200+ year dirt nap. If I would have hit it with hairspray I could have saved most of that nice detail. But I had changed over to my spring backpack and didn't have the little spray bottle with me. It's still an OK copper though.

Thanks Jeff. I've always thought the DBs were one of the nicest coin designs. I can only imagine ever finding one of your west coast gold coins around here! ;)
