Went out for a few hours today and hit a couple of past sites. I just wanted to get out and enjoy the day. I did find a couple of
buttons, one being silver plated. I dont see any spot on the back indicating a shank so I was wondering if it is actually a rosette.
The coin is a LC but there is no detail on the face. I can see one cent on the back.
This weekend is some wicked negative tides so I will be going out beach hunting. Later all mike

I wonder if its large enough to be a rosette...? That is a nice looking site you have there. Good luck on return trips.

nice finds! are you in CT?
No I'm in MA. 1/2 hr. west of worcester. This town we go to has quite a few old foundations that are not on the 1870 maps. Found a magic map that shows just foundations. Do you guys ever go to voluntown?
