Finds from the field.....

I was doing some work at an older house today and afterward I hit the field out behind the house. It was too hot to hunt for any more than 30 mins. I found a 1904 IH, bullet, and a what's it.

I have never dug this kind of bullet....is someone able to ID the make/caliber? I thought the what's it was a button until it cam out of the ground completely. When I cut the plug it was facing up at me and I saw the eagle. I got all happy until I saw the stem and threads on the back. Any guesses as to what it is?

thats a nice IH,and I think del is right on that other thing but can't help you on the bullet, good hunt.

Thanks Del!!! I do believe you are correct. Worldtalker over at JGD said the exact same thing!! Thank you for the pic as well....

I very much appreciate all the help with IDing my finds.... :groovy:

:wow: Nice finds for 30 minutes...

...And amazing Del! I'm pretty sure you have the right answer! For the bullet, my first thought... A toy? I would need to see the base have sizes like diameter of the bullet and length of the case... There is the 7.65 Roth-Sauer , that looks a bit like

Daniel <;)

Thank you!! The bullet is very heavy. It looks the same all the way around and has a flat base, base is silghtly indented. It was found 5 down. I was told elsewhere that it could be an off centered top shot. I don't know what that is....
