Finds from the past two weekends: Coppers are adding up...

Hi all,

I and @greenmountaindiggers hit some new permission properties in the Champlain Valley over the past two weekends, one in VT and one in NY, one of which is a privately owned historic site. I think in total we dug about 20 coppers, 9 more of which found my coil along with a number of relics. Surprisingly no old silver for us (US or Spanish), but that's how it goes. Really happy with the Liberty Cap Cent, only my 4th and tough to come by in this hobby, even here in the old country of New England. Here's some pics of my finds below from the multi-day haul. Thanks for looking.

3) Slick Rick
4) KG II half penny, nearly wiped
5) Worn Matron Large Cent (no date)
6) Wellington Token 1814
7) Liberty Cap Cent (1796, var. S-84).

Good work there John! Yeah yhose Liberty Caps are like hen's teeth. You dug some realy nice relics too. That token doesn't show up very often either.

So many wonderful finds, but that 1796 Liberty Cap is the crown jewel! :wow:

All things considered it's in great shape with a clear date! It may be the nicest of all the US coppers you found!

:congrats:

Dang John, you are doing GREAT!! Those are some awesome coins and relics. The liberty cap & draped bust largies are in really good condition too. Congrats my friend.
