First token and I'm hooked!

Back at the park Wednesday afternoon for a while. The targets were a bit more scarce, but doubling up on areas I've already covered. Got one signal I thought might have been a big silver, but got the unexpected again'this time a huge brass hook!
I picked up a couple more wheaties and miscellaneous items, but near the time I was to leave I got this nice wheatie signal about 7 inches down. Once again, the unexpected-this time I found my first ever token! :) This one is from Walgreen Drugs good for 10 cents towards Po-Do playing cards. Good until Oct 15 1932. Marked as "Milwaukee Prosperity Token"

Cool token Chris, that park is producing some interesting finds, WTG.

I'm really surprised that I'm pulling ANYTHING of note out of any area park since they have all been pounded for generations. Some I think is fill from another old lot. I also highly suspect this little place has also been overlooked mostly. Just a bit disappointed that I haven't seen an Indian or any silver yet though it seems to be ripe for them.

Nice token. Even tho I'd always prefer a coin over a token, I think the tokens are more unique and have a little more intrinsic value to them. Besides they weren't minted on the order of 40M like coins were (well... not every type of coin). That is one huge hook. wth were they doing with that? Almost as bad as finding a railroad spike in the middle of a 1600s town green...

Love the token. I dug a Walgreens token once. It was probably from the 80s.
nowhere near as nice and old as yours. Great Find!!!

I love finding tokens! Sometimes more than the old coins!
Shoot, you'll dig up a hundred more Rosies probably before you dig another Walgreens playing cards token!
I love it! :loveit:
Congrats!
