I know what # 500 was, but what was # 1:huh:

I honestly have no recollection. It's even difficult for me to pinpoint when I started detecting exactly. My parents bought a Garrett detector in 1969 and I used to go with them and watch. At some point in my early teen years I took that same machine and went out detecting by myself. In about 1982 I bought my own detector, a Whites 5000-D. In 1987 I bought a Fisher 1260-X and sold the Whites. In 1999 that Fisher machine quit working and I took a break from the hobby until 2011 when I bought my E-Trac.

Congrats Tony! :peace: :clapping: Hey, silver is not boring! :perfect10:

(Okay, well, rosies aren't as exciting as some, but it's still silver)

:congrats:

:wow: That is quite the accomplishment Tony :congrats: It would take me 95 more years at my current silver find rate to meet that lofty milestone. Actually, you have a much better chance of finding your second 500 silvers before I find my first 100 !!

bigtime congrats on your milestone Tony! just think how many you would have , had you not took that break . hope the next 500 dont take as long for ya!

:congrats: :congrats: :congrats:

That is quite a milestone. I doubt I'll ever reach anywhere close to that. You have some really nice finds in those coins.

Continued good hunting.

(Oh! And I agree with you 1000% regarding the silver Rosie. It has to be the most boring silver coin to find although I doubt that I would put it back in the hole lol )
