Mike and I headed out this morning for a short hunt at a spot he found. Its old, a small piece of land, has been hunted by everyone and pickins were few. Its also loaded with iron. On they way back to the cars I got an weird, iffy shallow signal but I did get a consistant high tone in 1 direction if I swung very slow. Decided to dig the 2 and out popped a 1907 Barber quarter :happydance01: <: Good friends, cool finds, exercise... Gotta love this hobby!
Tomorrow morning we're heading back out to a spot that I've done very well at in the past. I hope the silver streak continues for both of us.

Nice one Steve. Although I have yet to find one, I know of several people that found them in shallow ground...very similar story....the difference is , I wonder why that thing wasn't screaming at you and only heard in one tiny direction.....must have been the iron in the soil?

Oh those pesky iffy signals.....can really pay off. Congrats on that Barber quarter and I hope the silver streak continues.

That etrac sure can sniff out the silver in all that iron . Sure there's more goodies lurking there, low and slow should find 'em thumbsup01

It seems like they'll pop up when you least expect them to. Specially from a pounded out spot <:
