Got 8 silvers this week including a Walker!

Howdy diggers,

With the snow so deep and the ground so frozen, I had to resort to more CRHing this week so I could get my treasure hunting fix. I had a very good week and found 8 silver halves including a 1943 Walker! mg: Thanks for looking, HH and on-on!

When I saw that bright white silver edge, my heart skipped a beat. Usually, the edges of the silvers are darker because of tarnish and grime from being in circulation. I knew that coin was straight out of someone's coin collection. If you compare the reeding to the others in the roll, its obvious it has not been in circulation. It turned out to be a very nice 1964. Until I pulled it out though, I wasn't sure what it was going to be! I even thought it might be one of the newer 90% proofs that are issued each year. Thanks for looking, HH and on-on!

Today i got out to a couple banks and the BIG brother of my credit union in town.
The credit union said they had none. The first bank had $11.50 in loose ones. I could see there was no silver but took them anyhow. They said someone cleaned them out of rolls the week before. :ticked:
The next bank was just up the street and i figured he hit that one too. But no, they had seven rolls. Out of those seven rolls i got one 1968.
So far 6 x 40% and 1 x 90%. I'm catching up!! rofl rofl rofl

700 vs 15.......
Yesterday i went to the small town south of mine to try their banks for half dollars.
The first one had one roll the next one had zero and the last one had 29 rolls. So i had 30 rolls from there. I also got 5 rolls from a bank that i passed up a few days ago over by the big credit union. I searched all thirty five rolls and got nada! Zero, zilch nutin'.
700 halves and not one good one!
Today my wife stopped at the small credit union and got 15 halves. One was a 1964.
And the girl at the credit union said that's the good one as she could see the silver edge of it. Can't they buy these outta the holder? Or don't they know how much they're worth? I need to work part time in a bank!!! :grin:
