Rough day in the field had almost given up finding homesite then bam to in a row. I didn't even know there was a half dime.

I would take a "rough day" like that any time! :wow:

That 1855 Half Dime is an incredible find! Wow, what an amazing coin! Does it have a mint mark?

And the Indian Head is an older one too. Is the date 1866?

Congrats on two great finds! :clapping:

Thanks the half dime is 1855 no mint mark the Indian is1866.
I dug a 5 gallon bucket full of aluminum cans out of that field today and was getting discouraged
i would have called it quits but since joining this forum you guys / gals with all the great finds you make and words of encouragement kept me going

Congrats on the 1866 Indian. It's a semi-key date.

Aren't those 1/2 dimes small. They must have been easy to loose but probably harder for us to find. Great hunting and congrats on your keepers.

Yes there small when I got back to my truck I couldn't find it in my pocket I thought oh no and felt a little sick lucky it was still in my pocket
