Found this at the beach but don't know what kind of coin it is??

looks to be spanish but don't know for sure.

It definitely looks Spanish and it definitely looks very old!

hey John it looks a little off to me for a few reasons , like it was cast instead of struck , how it is evenly detailed and not worn away like most coins in circulation except for the all the edges seem a little rounded . it could be a copy of an old spanish shipwreck coin . what did it read on your machine :huh: a high conductive target like silver or lower ??

I found one very similar on a beach in RI. Mine had the word COPY on it, does yours?

Real or not, I know not.

But it IS of a Spanish coin about 1600s
