I found the spur in an old foundation spot my brother and I detected in a small village down by the Michigan/Indiana border, it was very deep, the pewter whistle I found at where there use to be an old school and I think it also was built on the same site as a school before it.

It's definitely pewter del, soon after I found it someone sent me a pm from the Tnet forum showing me one just like it they had posted on ebay and the way they had it wrote up they found it in upstate NY and it was near a revolutionary war site but I honestly don't think its that old, probably early to mid 1800's I'd say. He sold his for about $150 too.

Great finds :shocked04: Love the spur. I have some, but mine are all rusty lol Neat looking whistle. If it's from the school. I bet that sent shivvers down the little lads spine when the teacher blew that thing lol I hear schooling was rough back then

I've never really sold any of my relics or coins, I've sold a few gold rings way back when I need money badly but I'm trying to hang on to all my gold and silver cause its not done topping out I don't think.

Thanks for all the great replies everyone. Back when I found the spur I research CW spurs and the one I found looks identical to what the union army used.
