Hey pinpointa !!!
Welcome to the forum from the corn fields of Illinois U.S.A. !!
Good to have ya ! I can't wait to see some of your finds from Australia !!

Hi Russellt,
I been walking walking and walking, for the last 33 years with my detectors. We do have a saying in Australia that refurs to our Aborigines that they go walkabout. Some of these black fellows are excellent bush men and very good at spotting gold nuggetts with their eyes without using a detector. Idid meet up with one prospecting here in Western Australia who took me to a area where he had found over 100 gold nuggetts and he said i think it has all been cleaned out. But are 15 minutes i had 4 nuggetts and i finished up been camped their for over 4 weeks and come away with some very nice gold.

And this is where they take it a bit easy and just walk about and dont work to a good tight gridding system, so you will always find gold where ever they have been.
