Hope this is OK to post... if not smack me and remove it...

:shocked04: :shocked04: :shocked04: What a find lol I see one lonely Draped Bust half in there. He needs to send that one to us :envious: That is amazing. Some of those Capped Bust are struck so nice and new :smitten: :daydream: :daydream: Let's offer him the 4 1/2 pounds of silver melt value and see if he bites rofl

[move]UNREAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/move]

Seriously a wonderful bunch of finds. I would have dropped over after the first 5 out of the ground, nevermind over a hundred.

What a find! :clapping: I would love to have several of those Bust coins in my collection.

 Now that is something else. :shocked04:

Anyone care to speculate how they got in the water? Perhaps the site was a place for stagecoaches to cross the water and these are from a box that fell off? Must have been quite a financial loss back in the day.

Paul, the guy that found all that silver is the guy who got me into the sport. He has been absolutely killing it this year with his water hunting. He found a sharp's rifle, pistols, a lance point from the 122nd PA regiment and tons of other really cool items. When I think about how hard and often I hunt and how happy I am when I find just one old silver...well, it's hard for me not to be really jealous. But he is such a nice guy and he hunts everyday, all day, and he's obviously found a really great area to hunt.

:omg: I give all my finds to my son in law, who is a collector. He would die for just one of those coins, and for the record I don't mind you posting finds like this, I love to see someone hit it big.

Amazing! I don't go on Tnet often so thanks for posting the link. That is just crazy, I think my keyboard just shorted out from all the drool!

What they left out in the story was that the guy stored those coins in his car cup holder and inadvertently spent many of them on coffee and tolls.

Yeah, but I heard the toll both guy took them home and gave them to his kids. I believe they lost them in the tot lots as they traveled across the country. lol So let's hit them tot lots and find them lost coins :daydream: :daydream: :daydream: Oh well, I can dream can't I?
