I found a seated lasted night!

The other day I was looking for Morels at a park and I noticed an old foundation and even what appeared to be a well in the woods. So yesterday I checked an old map to see if I could date the place. It appears to be around in the 1800's. So yesterday I thought I would detect it. I think it has been detected before because there were some items on top of the ground but near the well I got a decent repeating high tone and out came a fairly worn 1875 S seated dime.

I also found a $5 bill walking back to the car.

Hope a bunch of you guys can get out and post your finds soon!

What a nice surprise that must have been! A Seated Dime is always a welcome sight in the dirt. And you even got paid $5 to find it!

:congrats:

Nice recovery. I'd post but have not found much. I did find 3 silver rings so far which is way ahead of the last couple of years, Congrats on the Seated. Wisconsin Digger

This is a beautiful find! This really inspires me to get out and start digging again. This will be one of the first new additions to the banner!
Thanks Epi-hunter! That $5 bill was a rush! Haha! If I can find 1 seated coin a year I am happy so I am set for the rest of this year.

Thanks for putting it on the banner and I hope you get out and post some banner worthy finds this year.

Thank you Bucknut! It's been awhile since I have found a seated coin, and I can't wait to find one! Unfortunately, here in MN there are some fairly tight laws on metal detecting.

That $5 bill was pure gravy
