My ctx has been delivered and now I have to wait until 5 before I can put my hands on it😠. At least it's here

Must be waiting for the first charge on the battery. I bet the anticipation is killing you! Congrats on the new shillelagh, I know you will love it once you get used to it and get everything tuned in. Keep us posted!

Let us know how you like it. I am thinking about getting one myself, but want to give the Garrett AT Pro a good season to get good with it before I buy a new machine.

I've put it together and chartered up the battery. Haven't turned it on yet. That's tonight. Playing around with it and swinging it. It seems well balanced and feels lighter than what they say it is

That was my first impression as well. Over 5 pounds, yet it swings like lightweight! You will notice it's comfortable even after a long day in the field. You will love the wireless feature too, not being tethered to anything while you dig, and your headphone won't easily get snagged on branches or anything while in the woods.

You'll love the CTX 3030, especially once you get over the rather steep learning curve! If you're in the water, remember to keep that USB plug tight! I seal mine with one wrap of pipe sealing tape and it's worked very well for me.

Thanks for the advice. Maybe going to Florida in March and that will probably be the first time I get to use it though I'm going to try and get out and swing for awhile and do some scouting. Won't be able to dig but I hope it helps
