It's so small!

Just got back from the cornfield across the road. Today i found two first's and a new all in one little coin. :grin: :grin: :grin:

The only coin outta there today was an 1839 seated half dime. :happydance01: :happydance01: :happydance01:

My first half dime, my first holed coin and now my new oldest coin. :clapping:

I beat out the 1849 large cent i found in that same field earlier this year.
(man i'm loving the muddy corn field)

Congrats! That's a very nice find indeed! I also found an 1839 half dime in a corn field back in December. It was my oldest coin ever for about 1 hour and then I found an 1838 half dime! My rang up as 12-38. How did yours ring up? p.s. If you haven't already, you can see the video on my youtube channel.

there mad small aint thay !!!!! i found an 1832 capped half dime a few weeks ago and i was like realy :huh: i bet there are millions of these buried coz people must of lost em all the time.
now,where did i put that half dime ?.......crap ive lost it.........lmao

WTG on recovering the 1/2 dime. Yeah they are small but thats good cause it would be easier to loose them. I really love to detect in old cornfields, they can hold some great keepers. Congrats on getting some firsts.

you would think as small as they are you would find more but that is not the case i found one 30 years ago and none since congrats on a great find dennis

I actually think the hole adds history to it. Somebody probably wore that coin around their neck as a good luck charm or to remember a loved one. Very cool!
