Yesterday I went detecting for the first time since January 2nd in a different park/woods than I have been going to. I was really happy when I found the large cent and decided to call it quits due to my legs being worn out from slipping and sliding in the wet snow. This morning I happened to notice looking at a short video I posted on facebook that the quarter that I found was also an error coin which I thought was very cool

Very nice Large Cent, Larry! Is it dated 1831? You definitely earned those finds in that deep snow!

Congrats on getting your 2015 off to a great start! :clapping:

:wow:Way to go on the large cent. Glad your able to get out and hunt.
I tried yesterday as well. The ground here is still to frozen to dig. Although, I did get 2 wheats
Congrats on a great start to 2015

Tony yes it is an 1831, for the longest time when cleaning it I was thinking 1821 but it's definitely a 3

Way to go on the LC and toughing it out in the cold and snow. Just don't have the heart to do it up here, frozen solid down a foot or so.

Congratulations on the Large Cent and on being tough enough to brave the environment to find it. The tags are interesting too, being that we live just 28 miles north of Tyler, Texas - the rose capital of the world. BTW, is the "9" the error on the quarter?
