Just won a white's 4900 DL Max Metal Detector

Thanks Dan, yeah I had found that. I saw some posts that this was the top that this unit was used for gold prospecting back in the 90s.

Just swapped out the 4900 for a Prizm 3. Seems much easier for me to use. Just had surgery on my foot so trying to heal up before I can run out and try it. Anyone have a Prizm 3? Any tips? already got the manual.

I detected with a Prizm IV for about 3 years. Made some great finds. My tip would be if you have a nickle signal, make sure that it does not waiver at all on the signal. I found that if it waivered it was a bottlecap or a pulltab.
