IMG_1241.jpgIMG_1246.jpgIMG_1247.jpgIMG_1248.jpgMy golf league cancelled our 1st day of golf due to some unbelievable rain the day before but I ended up at a golf course anyway with Al, Steve and Drew. Drew had a nice seated dime before I even got there, not far from where we park. So I decided to check out the area where we parked and immediately got a 1926 Merc. Five feet away I found what Drew says is another rosette, which I think is the 4th one I dug here. I thought it was a buckle at first. 20 feet from there was the Sacajawea dollar coin. The 3-ring Ballentine beer logo was used to mark golf balls on the green in the '50s and '60s. The 1946 Rosie came last along with 3 bucks in clad. The oldest wheatie was 1940. The buffalo nickel I found last week and 3 days of soaking in Worcestershire sauce produced a date-1917, my oldest. After we left Steve snagged a draped bust Largie. Going back tomorrow after back surgery lol.

Wow, great bunch of finds! Is that rosette a Union Pacific? Somehow tied to the railroad? I like the purity, body, & flavor logo too. Is it sterling? I hope your back surgery goes well. HH, Dave.

Some very nice finds Mike. When you showed me the rosette I thought CW. Congrats on the silvers, any idea of the total silvers from the golf course? The Ballentine logo is a pretty cool looking item. See ya in the AM. You know its that short shovel that caused you to have back surgery......

I think around 70 and 5 large cents. You have 28, I have 16, Steve has at least as many as I do maybe more, Drew has around 10, Plus RobW's.

Congrats on your nice finds . Sacajawea , now there was an incredible woman . Finding one of her coins always reminds me of the courage
and tenacity of the Lewis and Clark expeditionary group .

Mike great day for you and some really cool finds. You thought outside the box when you hit that spot and it paid off!
