I have commented here before how I don't seem to find very many nickels with my E-Trac. I think it's because I mostly hunt trashy areas and I usually find pieces of pull tabs when I dig nickel signals so I often ignore them. Today I tried a new hunting spot and I was finding several wheat cents with very little trash. I got a very consistent 12-12 signal so I decided to dig it, hoping that it might be a Buffalo. I was pleasantly surprised when a 1905 V Nickel popped out of the hole!
I ended up finding 10 wheat cents, a 1920-D Mercury Dime and a 1947-D Rosie, along with some clad and memorial cents. Pretty fun for a two hour hunt!
