My first hunt with the XP Deus

I received the machine about 2 weeks ago from Andy Sabisch via referal from Andrew of N.E. M. Detectors (thank you Andrew) and for the most part I've been doing my homework reading the manual and playing with it in my yard.
Yesterday I took it to a friends property that was a farm at one time and about half of the 18 acres is field so I concentrated on that part only using one of the 9 factory programs (Basic 2) and dug just about every signal that came my way and trust me what the picture shows is only what I consider worthy of showing as there was a ton of foil, beer cans, rusty nails etc. but all in all I am very happy with the results. Now as for the detector the only thing I will say at this time is that it is so light that I was able to hunt for 3 1/2 hours non stop and for a man having rotator cuff surgery on both shoulders it was like swinging my arm only. Thanks for looking.

Re: MY FIRST HUNT WITH THE XP DEUS

:perfect10:! Congrats on some neat finds! Is that a gold ring? WTG!! |:cheering:

Looks like a nice hunt to me! Is the ring silver? What year is the Mercury Dime?

I really like the old car! Knowing me, I would make a careful attempt at straightening the roof. Is there a maker or anything stamped on the bottom?

Congrats on the finds and thanks for the report on the XP Deus!

That's a great bunch of finds trout-hunter. :clapping:
It's always nice to grab a Merc, but the toy car is my favorite from your finds.
It definitely looks like an early one. Not sure I've seen one so old.
Congrats.

The merc is a 39, the ring has me stumped as it was so encrusted with I guess age that it took me quite a while to clean most of it and the part you see shines like gold, but I am no expert and not too excited yet but I will have it checked. I too like the old car and so far I've seen no markings on it and the rubber on 3 out of the 4 wheels is still mostly there. Thanks for the kind words to all.

I checked the old car carefully today and found these markings on it, if anyone knows or has any knowledge of old toy cars I would appreciate any and all info. Thanks for your replys in advance. TH

Found this info on a different forum...

This is a Jane Francis Truck, the company was in business from 1942 - 1947 in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania then moved to Somerset Pennsylvania from 1947 - 1949. Originally a stuffed toy maker, they started making Diecast in 1945. They had some sedans and trucks, some had solid windows and some had the windows cut out (like this one). They also made some sets, like a Gulf Service station with a Tow truck, Lift, box truck, gas pumps and other items. I've never seen the set, but it books around $750 mint....

The one you found seems to be a 'Futuristic Sedan'.
