My first silver

My son and I started metal detecting at the first of this year. We have found quite a few coins and a couple of rings (one of which we gave back).
I will post pic's of our finds soon. The other day I decided to walk down to the local city park and concentrated around the old trees. I got a mixed signal mostly in the 80's 3 inches down. I dug and found rust. Covered hole scanned again found an old screw,covered hole. Scanned one more time, still something there! Dug again and saw something shiny..... A 1901 BARBER DIME!!!!!! :twirlingeyes:

Barber dimes are great to find. If it has an S mint mark it could be worth two to three hundred. 1901 S is a key date.

That's a sweet coin for a first i've yet to find a barber dime. My first was a SLQ with no date. You can put that in a holder and show it off with a big smile. <:
