My first SLQ

I had about an hour to kill the other night so I went across the street to some old abandond houses. I was scanning the plug in the first hole I dug and as I went to lay my detector back down it went off about a foot from the plug. I pulled a memorial from the plug and then dug this 26 D right next to it.

That's about as close to AU as you will ever get on a dug coin. Congrats. BTW, I always thought the lady on the coin had the BEST looking legs! :smitten:

Thanks.
I should have put a pic of the back on also. It is sharp but has some black tarnish to it. This is the third silver (40 Merc and 57 Wash) I have found on this lot and all have had black streaks somewhere on them. The date was so crisp though I had to post it.

Nice SLQ :clapping: They don't always have full strikes when new and your looks close enough to be labeled Gorgeous lol That's a new grade right between AU and MS. What a sharp looking coin. Probably dropped soon after being minted. I guess that house wasn't abandoned after all - it had silver living there

Like others have said, that coin is the nicest I've seen for being in the ground! It had to have been dropped right after minting.

Congratulations! thumbsup01

 Whoa!! She's in pristine shape!!

A SLQ is pretty high on my wish list
She's a dandy thumbsup01
