My first two wheat pennies, and first hunt of 2012!

I'm still trying to get the hang of my F2 so I have yet to venture much farther than my own yard. 55 degrees and sunny today which is nice for Jan 1st weather :)

Dug a lot of trash even after discriminating out everything zinc and lower. Hotwheels still fool the F2 every time at 81/82 and any flat iron bigger than a half dollar comes in no matter the disc setting. I had fun tho, especially when the two wheats popped out 1 right after the other.
1942, 1920 on the wheat pennies, the rest are Lincolns pre 1982. [attachimg=1][attachimg=2]Thanks for reading :)

Nice digs! I see your wheats come out looking like the ones in my area. What area are you in?

Congrats on the wheats!! |:cheering: Wish I could find some of those in my yard. Sounds like there is lots of potential there for silver as well!

East Tennessee. I wish I would stumble on a silver but these two wheats are it after a good 20 hours in my immediate area lol

Good finds. Time to venture out dude! Time to knock on some doors! You are in a prime area. Go for it. Waiting to see that first silver! thumbsup01
