My last two hunts! Silver,Buffalo,Indian Dog tag

I hunted a small park here in town last Sunday and dug the 1894 dog tag. Yes I scraped it with my yard knife. I think the D.D.T means (Dubuque Dog Tag? ) The 1920 Buffalo nickel and the 1909 Indian where found in the 3 hour hunt and are in nice readable shape. I could tell someone was there with a detector because I did not find much clad. I want to hunt the small park again with a smaller coil because it's very trashy.

Yesterday Dennis H and I hunted a school/church and ,I dug the 1964 dime. Rechecking the hole I heard another chirpy signal and was rewarded with a 1964 Washington quarter. Both the dime and quarter are in minty shape. Coin spill! I dug the deep 8 wheat pennies and the 1951 Canadian penny along with the Sterling St Christopher metal during the 7 hour hunt. I dug alot of clad too. Dennis dug 101 quarters topping my clad take by far.

Hey Joe, It was good seeing you tonight.
Congrats on the coins, especially the silver. The token is very interesting. Have you been able to put a date to it?
DDT stands for Dubuque Dog Tax. That is a very old one. My earliest DDT tag is 1895.
Great couple of hunts. thumbsup01

Also, if you are interested it is possible to include more than one picture per post. I know on the other forum it was not
an easy thing to accomplish, but here it is quite simple. You can attach up to 12 per post by clicking the (more attachments) option while composing your post. Just thought I'd point it out if it will help. :)

Man! Two of my favorite things (other that old silver) to find! Hard times tokens and old dog taxes!! :smitten:

Mine definitely has the same look as the early one Joe just found.

Congrats again Joe on your beauty. Coins, tokens, relics and Dog Tags... a very cool part of this hobby.

Nice token! Congrats on the silver spill and old dog tag. My oldest is 1924.

Dennis dug 101 quarters in one day? :shocked03: That paid for the gas to get to the old church- for sure! :)

Yes Dennis was at a part of the ballfield where the parking and concession stands where. He could not move a couple of feet without digging another quarter. We are going back there soon.

Nice finds! The coins are obviously good but that license is really interesting. I didn't realize that dog licenses were required back then. Learn something new every day.
