I guess I'm guilty of only sharing my coin finds, but like everyone else, I do find other stuff!
I'm not sure how interesting these finds are, but I thought I would share them anyway. (Everthing except the mound of pulltabs. lol) All of this stuff I have found in the past two months.
If you've been metal detecting for any length of time at all you have most likely found several of these. Neckerchief slides from the Cub Scouts:
I found this at a grade school a couple of days ago where I have been finding Indian Heads and Barbers. It's an elongated cent (I think!) with the Lord's Prayer on it. On the back are the initials MWE. It has a small hole in it like it was worn as a necklace.
I found this item yesterday at the village hall where I found the Barber Quarter and Barber Dimes. It is a 1937 wheat cent that has been made into a button.
I have no idea what this is off of but it looks kind of old. I think Parry Mfg made buggies and carriages in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
Bulldog padlock, square nails, and a lock faceplate.
This photo isn't great, but it is a token. On one side it says, Good for one tune and on the other side it says, L&W. I wonder if it is a jukebox token?
Some junk jewelry and old buttons that I know nothing about.
An old hinge, an unknown object, and some pocket knives that have seen better days.
A watch fob that I found yesterday. It had globs of melted plastic or vinyl stuck to it. On the front it says, Chicago MCMXXVI - Pius XI which dates it to 1926. On the back it says, Ubi Petrus Ebi Ecclesia - International Eucharistic Congress.
A small religious pinback button that says, Evangelical Reformed S.S. which I assume means Sunday School?
A small sterling silver ring and a silver earring.
A store token found in the town of Broadlands, IL. It says, Crain's Store - Good for 10 cts in trade.
A large table spoon, silver plated. Probably used by a child to dig in the dirt.
A neat silver plated pinback badge dated 1895.
