very nice items Bob , I'm very interested in seeing the reverse of the brass Lyre . i'm pretty sure its and Army Musician's shako hatplate , there should of been a letter on the shield to determine the company it was associated with . i haven't found the date on one of these yet but i'm leaning to post Civil War era but i could be off by a bit.
