Need help IDing this item

Hey diggers,
I found this unusual item at a house dating back to the 1860s. It was quite deep and rang up like a nickel on my e-trac. At first I thought it was part of a pocket watch but then I realized it is way too thin for that. It is very thin copper or brass and is stamped with the image of a pocket watch case. It is the same size as a pocket watch. It even has an image of a winder and loop (partly missing). It looks like it may have been applied to something else but has no holes or mounting marks.

Could it have been glued to wood and been a toy pocket watch?

I appreciate any ideas you guys might have. Thanks and no Don, it's not part of a henway! LOL

How big is it? Possibly a part of a Cracker Jack prize or, as you think, part of a toy watch.
