Welcome from western MA. Glad you found us here. Being in NC you're in rich Civil war area. What type of detector are you using, how long detecting. We are still snowed in up here in MA so feel free to post up some finds. Looking forward to your posts.

Welcome from Illinois! :waving:

We got about 5 of snow here yesterday! How are the detecting conditions there in North Carolina? I have never been there but I would love to visit your state someday. I hear it's beautiful.

Glad you joined the forum! |:cheering:

Thanks for the welcome Guys, Yes this is a rich civil war relic area here in North carolina, the weather is still decent here about 40 degrees but will be 62 sunday & sunny. I have been detecting since 1980 started with a Nautilus silver king then Nautilus dmc1, Nautilus dmc11, Garrett Ground hog, whites MXT, Garrett Infinum and now Minelab Etrac. I also had gold claims in Alaska for several yrs. 22oz's over a 5 yr period (summers only lol)

Welcome from Ky :waving: Would love to see some pics and hear some stories about your relic finds and also mining in Alaska  Several family members have done the same and is on my bucketlist :beerbuddy:

Hubby and I did some goldmining with our MD club there in NC this summer- Lucky Strike. Camped and worked a wash plant for a weekend and got about 1/2 oz.
