New to the hobby.

Hi everyone, I am a beginner but I hope to learn more about this new experience. I was looking for a good hobby that would be great fun, and get me out of the house.

We have some very knowledgeable members here with years of metal detecting experience and they are more than willing to share their expertise. What type of machine are you swinging?

Thank you all for the warm welcomes. I purchased a Bounty Hunter Quick Silver to start out, but yesterday I gave that detector to my wife, so she can also detect with me, plus my new Garrett ACE 400 arrived yesterday. Now we both can get out of the house and enjoy this new hobby. This will be great for our general health and well being.
