Hi everyone
Just wanted to say hello. I am new to this hobby and am looking forward to meeting other Detectorist on Long Island...Suffolk County and beyond :)
 
Hello Skibbo and welcome to the forum :waving: we have a couple of notorious boys on here from L.I. , maybe they will come out of hiding and chime in . what kind of detector do you have and what are you interested in finding the most ??

You will find that this forum has lots of cool and interesting people. :waving: I'm in Suffolk county and my buddy Mike and I go out detecting almost every weekend. What machine do you have? Send me a PM with your number and town you are in. Mike and I can meet up with you and give you a few pointers.

I just bought a Bounty Hunter QD II. That fit the budget for now. If I see that this is something that I want to do permanently I will upgrade.
I did a little practicing in my yard and found a couple of pennies from the early 60's & 70's but I can really use some guidance on tuning it, etc.
