Not A Common coin for A Totlot

Hi All got out again for A second hunt this month day after the first hunt and I had A great day first Id like to say I'm sad :( to see most of you cant get out right now cause of the weather hope it gets better for you soon well today I was off went out to check some totlots went to A park about 50 miles from here hit the city park totlot and got A reading number of 54 on my DFX around 1 inch down dug down and out pops this 1879 Indian Head Penny you could of knocked me over with A feather :lol: when I saw that went through it found just Reg coins decided to hit the main area of the park and found more Reg and 1 1948 Rosie and an old lipstick container but the best fine of the Day maybe my whole hunting years was this which I hope is Silver A pocketWatch It read A number of 46-47 at 7inches down on my Etrac thought maybe A Silver Quarter dug down out pops this Silver pocket watch :shocked04: found lots of pocketwatches but not like this one Brass ones copper ones gold Silver plated ones that you can tell there plated but this one I took Alittle of the grime off and no plating came off so I'm going to soak it for awhile in virgin olive oil and see how clean I can get it Before I try and open it to look inside and find out if it is pure silver I hope it is always wanted to find 1 it weigher's 3.73 ounces heres some Pics let me know what yall think thanks hope everyone can get to hunting soon HH

Wow! Was the indian dropped in the tot lot or was it possible an older drop underneath it? The pocket watch is really neat! :grin:

Good job on the great finds. The pocket watch is sweet looking. Were you swinging the dfx in one hand and the etrac in the other:lolsign:
 
Nice Indian and a pretty good date too. Anything in the 70's is a good coin. Love the pocket watch....hope it ends up being silver. That park has a lot of potential :clapping:
 
That pocket watch looks really nice. I'm looking forward to seeing it cleaned up.
I have never found anything but clad in tot lots. CONGRATS on the indian
 
Nice finds especially the pocket watch and its present condition. They usually come out in pieces sad to say. So far I have found the outer casing or the inner working mechanism by themselves. Safe & HH
