It finally stopped raining about noon today. Went to a property I had permission to hunt. Wasn't expecting much, and I wasn't disapointed. Mainly wanted to try out the new camera. I think with some practice, it will do. Found some mem's and clad. Found three wheats all within two feet of each other, all 1951-D's. Strange. Found another old army button. Found a St. Christopher medal. Although its not silver, I think it's from the 40's. On the back it has either an F or E diesel unit pulling the train, a 40 something model car, an ocean liner with smoke coming from the stack and a passenger plane with prop engines. Neat. HH all.

Well no silver but the St. Christopher medal is still a cool find. Looks like land, air, and sea are represented. To me any old button can also make a hunt.

looks like you still made some neat finds we cant always find silver i know that all to well congrats on a good hunt dennis :waving: :waving:

thumbsup01 on the neat finds you found. Any day i can get out and enjoy the outdoors is better than a day indoors. Keep swinging the coil and i'm sure some silver will be coming soon. HH

That is a very cool St Christopher medal. Non silver religious medals always feel like a near miss (or near hit maybe) but that is more than made up for the neat back on yours. Very cool! Great pics too.

I really like that St. Christopher medal! It looks like it's from the 1930s or 1940s.

I've never seen one like that.

:congrats:
