November 6th hunt at the park

I managed to find me a silver ring at the park this morning along with three wheats (2 from the 20s and the other is a 58) and some clad. I suspected the ring was silver but knew for sure when I got home and seen 925 stamped in it. I also included a pic of the ring before I did electrolysis on it.

What a beauty that ring is! I've never seen a silver ring come out of the dirt so dark before. The little dark crystals look just like iron pyrite to me (fools gold).

DaddyDigger the dirt there is saturated year round and really rock hard in the winter, plenty of goose and duck crap for years and years

I can agree with DaddyDigger about the ring. Usually you can tell immediately that it's silver but I can see how you were suspect on that one. Our year is coming to an end and :congrats:on getting out and scoring some more keepers.

Congratulations on the nice ring. Our soil is mostly iron ore, so everything that has been underground for a week or so come out red. It is good to know that electrolysis will clean up silver without any damage.
