Old Silver Old Buttons!

We went out a couple days last week, first to our favorite park which has given up many nice things, though lately she has been stingy. Doug, Malachi, Diane and I hit it for about 4 hours, and out of that time only one keeper but it was a dandy! Doug joined the 1700's club with a 1767 One Reale! I went out on Tuesday by myself and did about 5 hours in fields, not much, only coin a crusted wheat cent but another field gave up 3 more CW era buttons. A large General Service, a smaller Infantry and a Patriotic button.

Huge congrats to Doug on the 1767 One Real! That's a jaw-dropping find for sure!

I really like your buttons too, especially the Union patriotic one.

:congrats:

thats an oldie for sure , looks like it was sized up to be "quartered" at one time . congrats on the buttons

The Spanish silver may be worn, but it is still Spanish silver. It doesn't pop out of the ground that often. :clapping:Congrats on the military buttons too. Some nice finds.
