Old Wheat Cents And A Merc

I couldn't resist another trip to the town common, so late this afternoon I took a drive there hoping too that it wouldn't be too busy seeing as it is a weekday. It wasn't bad at all and I was able to spend a few hours working one of the grassy squares. I didn't pick up any Indian Head cents this time, but I did manage several more wheat cents dated in the teens, the oldest dated 1909. I also dug up a good looking 1928 mercury dime and a 1928 Canadian cent.

HH!

Nice brand new Merc :thumbsup01: You got both the 1914 and the 1909 wheats, and you are 0 for 2 in the rare date department  Nice hunt and you secured a great looking dime.

Wow the detail on the time is perfect. Nice find and those wheats look good too. You have the magic touch at finding coins.

You also take great photos.

Thanks, everyone!

Man, there's alot of early wheats in there
Gotta have your daily silver too lol
Congrats

That town common has given up wheat cents that are mostly dated in the teens. I love finding them.

Yeah, I know. So close, yet so far. :crying02: I'll get one eventually.

Thank you! The dime does not have much in the way of wear. It's one of the nicer ones I have found of that year.
