I've been hunting this spot since 1998 when I bought my house and it's still giving up the goodies. I'll probably hunt this park til I can't hunt anymore. There's good history at this spot and I'm really surprised that I've never seen another detectorist there except my brother and a several friends. Nobody seems to go back but there's still stuff there, I just can't understand it. The majority (including me) I don't think they like hunting the woods in the summer because of the bugs and probably the rest hang up their detector's in the non bug seasons.

October 12th I managed to score me a silver rosy

Yesterday I didn't even find one coin but I found a couple of keepers, the eagle pin is a WW1 sweetheart pin and the wings bracelet part is a WW2 sweetheart bracelet for the airforce.

Looks like you had a great week of hunting. Love the coins, but my favorites are the war items, especially the bracelet with the name scratched on it.
Just think how much that probably meant to someone so many years ago. Great Recovery

Fantastic variety of finds, Larry! That 1939-D Merc is a real beauty, and I really like that old Goetz telephone token too.

Keep hitting that woods and enjoy the lack of competition! :thumbsup01:

:congrats:

Great assortment of finds and what a place to hunt in. Agree with Tony that the old telephone token is one of the better finds from this series of hunts.
