Here's the token I dug recently - I added the appropriately dated coin. It's in rough shape but will fit nicely in my collection. steve in so az

That is a very neat find Steve! :clapping: They used to have a machine at the boardwalk here where you could make those! Ah, the memories!

Those type of tokens with the pennies in them are pretty cool and you don't see them dug that often, congrats!

very nice Steve , thats one of the things i envy the most about your area there were alot of tokens used in the southwest . if i remember right i think you made some great 1800's or early 1900's token discoveries (saloon , billard , cigar and drink or brothel ones ). am i right ??

Mike - In my 30 + years detecting this is just the second one I have dug. Here's the other one, I put the IH in it also. Steve
I like this one. Is an IH what originally went in there? Very cool piece.

Dan - Yes, I have been lucky to dig some old tokens. Sold a few, one for 600 bux. Got an old saloon several times, an old dairy, old Elk's Club one. One was Titled The Bank Saloon. Guess the old man told the wife he was going to the bank :)

jkress - I never did track down the history on the IH token so I dont know what went it. I just liked the IH, Steve

I've found a couple of those over the years at parks and mine have always been empty :crying02: Nice to see one that is original :clapping: With the '51 wheat in it, you can definitely date it lol Excuse me while I go to the bank rofl
