Quartet of Indians, 1800s Silver and Some Relics

Yesterday afternoon I was able to get out for about 3 hours. I had a place in mind to detect that I had been keeping in my back pocket since spring. Now that the soil is nice and moist I was finally able to give it a go.

I suspect this site has been detected before since silver was sparse. Nevertheless, I was happy to get 4 Indian Head Cents 1886, 1893, 1902 and 1908, one Barber Dime dated 1898 along with 7 wheat cents.

Is this an ox knob? If so, it's the first one I've ever found.

Thanks for looking and happy hunting! :beerbuddy:

Those are some great finds! I have yet to find a 1908 indian. I don't think that is an ox knob...maybe a scabbard tip?

Tony, it's a cap for a carriage pole. That's probs old wood inside. Those things are a good indicator of some old coins in the area. Which you already found  Great finds!!

Great finds Tony. I agree on fall hunting as I always seem to find things I missed when ground was dry. You matched my yearly count on Indians in 1 hunt. Nice digs WD

Even if it's been detected before, there's still a lot of good stuff left there! Congrats

Drew got to it already...

Nice score on the IH and barber. Seems like you are getting back out there more lately.
