Reunited And It Feels So Good!

With apologies to Peaches and Herb for using their song title but it is very fitting. We went out to 5 different fields yesterday and had modest success, mostly Diane's doing. We got some buttons, including her Eagle Cuff Button, a couple of coins, I got a 1919 Wheat and on the last signal of the day she saved us from being skunked coin wise with a N/D Indian Head. I found two rings a brass ring that was a bit smushed and a unusual iron ring that had a copper applied piece to the front. Several round balls too. One of my buttons has a very pretty design on it. The real story of the day is this, we were at a field for the first time this year a field where I found a broken Counterfeit Seated Quarter ten months ago. She had spied something on top of the ground and picked it up and gave it to me to look at. After some perusal I had a hunch...and I was right....it was the top portion of my Counterfeit! So now they are reunited again! Team work!

Tony, what are the odds of finding that other piece to the counterfeit. :thumbsup02:. Overall I'd say you and your crew had a good day. By the way, I think your IH is an 1877.....

Grats. I like that ornate button in pic 1. Crazy how you found both pieces of that counterfeit. I wonder why you seem to find so many counterfeit coins out there in Ohio. That's at least 3 I can remember you finding.

You and Diane obviously "complete each other" in every aspect Tony , I believe this is confirmation to show you that fact , sir ! You chose a great life partner !

Congrats on those finds! That ornate button is really cool. Plus, I agree, what are the odds of finding the other half of that coin?

Great story Tony and congrats on the finding the other half! Yes, all wheats are 1931-S's and all IHs are 1877s until proven otherwise! Nice little star button in the top pic as well!
