Ring #24 found today , and it's silver

Got out this morning and hunted two school fields . The first one I didn't find much but a very angry man who lived up the street and told us to get the F**K out there ! After trying to talk to him and calm down the tension , witch didn't work at all , we left . This was the worst anyone has ever bin to me while hunting in 20 years ! Just a very angry person

. Well as it turned out I was up the way from the school I hunted yesterday and found the silver ring , so I went back

. Not more than 20 minutes in I had a +78 at 4 inches . I was happy to see a sweet silver ring in the plug

. I also found a 1951 wheat cent but it was not in my pouch when I got home

. I'll go back next week and see if I can find it again

. Total clad for 3 hours was $5.75 .

I have never had a person confront me like that. But once I was detecting a school and someone called the cops on me and my boys. The cops quickly realized we were legally detecting and let us have our fun.

It's only the 6th time that has happen to me in 20 years ! I had the Police called on me once also . They said we were doing nothing wrong and wanted to know about our best finds .

In my career of metal detecting since July, I've only gotten told to leave once, and the person was very nice about it, but one time at a permission (1959 church), a Boy Scout meeting was happening in the yard next to the church, and one of the moms there (keep in mind that she was in the car, while her child was alone at the meeting, and everyone's kids and parents were together) came over to us angry, and asked sternly, "Can I help you?" I looked up at her with my sister and politely said, "No." This only got her angrier, she made a sour face and asked if I was allowed to be here and I said yes, I had even pulled up the e-mail the pastor sent to me saying yes. After standing for a few seconds, she asked, still angry, what my name was. I said "Ryan," and then she proceeded to call me "Bryan."

We left shortly after, only for her to follow us until we got to our house. Not a fun adventure

I was very calm until the end when he said F**K U to me and reached into my truck ! Never have I had this happen before to this extreme . This guy wanted to fight my hunting buddy if we didn't leave ! It was just crazy !

So sorry to hesr that Glen. You can't fix stupid, and you can't negotiate with the mentally ill. Some people are just the miserable sort who have nothing better to do than try to bring others down to their level or stick their noses where they don't belong. Had my experience too.
