Road Trip to Ohio with Tony Two-Cent

Hey Diggers,
This year marked our 4th trip to Ohio for Tony and I and we both made some good finds. We hunted old houses, old schools, and old parks. We did not find any "virgin" sites but our trusty e-tracs were able to sniff out coins all the other guys missed. Once again it was a real pleasure to take this trip and Tony is great company. Just watching how he metal detects, I learn something new every time! Using his technique I found several older, deeper coins that I had missed on the first pass!

Here are some of my better finds:

Every year the both of you have returned with great finds. The 1920 merc looks to be in fantastic shape. Nice to see a seated among the keepers. :congrats:

You got some great finds there Dave. Love the Seated dime. nice score.
I wonder if that Sterling piece could have been a barrette?:thinkingabout:
I'm glad you guys had a good time and dug some great stuff.
I still hope we can all get together one more time this year.:crossfingers:
Don

Congrats on a great week! Fantastic old seated dime! And a bunch of indians...with a rare 1876!! Well done! Wish I could have met you guys there.

To bad that spill with the "16 D" wheat was not reversed with the Merc. That Seated is a beauty for the age. Looks like you guys did have a great trip. Hope to catch some video. WD

Dave , I envy at the thought of getting the chance to get out and detect with Tony and the nice assortment of quality finds .:notworthy:

Nice score on all those finds. That seated is really great condition. The token looks a lot like a heel plate. It almost looks like the penny would fit inside the hole. The hammered/onyx piece could even be a bracelet. I believe I have something (stainless) where the links were tacked underneath.
